Regional Commodity Lead
Qualifications:
Technical University Degree or comparable training
Several years of professional experience in purchasing - production material (automotive background)
Experience working with: MS Office applications, Sharepoint, document management system, ERP system (currently SAP); Astras; PLM system (currently Oracle), WPS, PowerBI, Internet applications
Familiar with Automotive Standards (e.g. IATF / ISO (both external), WNB (internal)), Customer requirements, Laws (e.g. LKSG) + regulations (e.g. CBAM)
Responsibilities and tasks:
- Ensuring the flow of goods in the commodity, providing support in the event of escalations with suppliers, closely involving supplier quality
- Support and collaboration with the Global Commodity Manager in developing the commodity strategy for OE requirements, taking into account internal and external influencing factors (e.g., internal: corporate strategy / external: political developments (laws))
- Conducting and concluding price negotiations, preparing and ensuring price maintenance in the ERP system
- Collaboration with cross-functional partners such as logistics, quality, engineering, etc.
- Participation in the selection of local suppliers, definition of the supplier pool used within the product group in consultation with the Global Commodity Manager, and ensuring that this is communicated and stored in Astra.
- Search for, develop, and manage strategically relevant suppliers and establish strategic partnerships with suppliers in coordination with the Global Commodity Manager
- Support in the preparation, negotiation, and conclusion of relevant purchasing agreements with suppliers / Coverage of agreements within the product group
- Identification, securing, and realization of savings potential and achievement of financial targets in commodities in coordination with the Global Commodity Manager
- Reporting KPIs and deriving measures to achieve target values
- Cooperation with other tk BUs on commodities where there is a high overlap in terms of supplier pool and specifications
- Responsible for the final selection of suppliers in accordance with the agreed commodity strategy for new projects / advising project purchasers on the awarding of contracts
- Preparing various statistics and analysis for the assigned commodity area
